Jazmin, An American Princess

March 4, 2017 was the 25th birthday of American-born Princess Grace of Monaco's only American grandchild, Jazmin Grace Grimaldi. Born and raised in California by her mother, Tamara Rotolo, Jazmin is the oldest acknowledged illegitimate child of Prince Albert II of Monaco. He did not acknowledge his paternity until she was 14 years old. In the meantime, she lived out of the public eye.

After her existence became known to the world, Jazmin still maintained a somewhat normal adolescence although she did start her own nonprofit to benefit education and health care in Fiji. Having graduated from Fordham University in 2014, she is an aspiring actress/model/singer in New York City where she is often seen at fashion industry events and can be found in the company of her Monagesque cousin Pauline Ducruet, one of Princess Stephanie's daughters and also an aspiring model. (It should be remembered that Stephanie was a model and singer in the 1980s.)

Jazmin is not an official member of the princely family of Monaco and, because of her illegitimate status, she has not right to the throne. However, she is said to have a good relationship with her father, his wife Princess Charlene and her twin half-siblings Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella as well as her half-brother Alexandre Coste, Albert's other acknowledged illegitimate child.
